When the package is generated, all entries (items, files and security accounts) are sorted in the following order:

• internal service entry (version of the installer that generated the package)
• metadata
• files
• items
  • templates
  • other items
• security accounts

For all files directory entries go before any files in the directory.

For all items a parent goes before any descendants.

All versions are grouped by item id and language.
